Welcome To: Guitar Hero
One of the most popular games ever played on a gaming console is Guitar Hero. The original game was first released for the PlayStation 2 in November 2005. It was different from the other games right from the start because not only does it come with the game but also it comes with the guitar you need to play it. The guitar is modeled from a Gibson SG Guitar.
The Guitar looks just like a real guitar, the fret comes with 5 different colors, which are important to play the game. There is a strum bar, rather than real frets and strings. Once you get used to the guitar you will be able to master the game very well.
The basic idea of Guitar Hero is play along with the colored notes on their guitar while a song is played in the game. The notes are found on the bottom of the screen. If you play the song right you get the maximum amount of points and you can move on to the next level.
During the course of a song, you will notice special parts of the song. These will help you get points on the Star Power Meter (the points collector). When you get enough volume on the Star Power Meter you can get access to the Star Power by hitting down or lifting up the guitar in a vertical style. What happens when you use the Star Power, your score will multiple in points until the Star Power Meter is empty. So this is certainly a goal that you want to hit.
It sounds simple, just match the colored notes and play the same on the fret of the guitar but it is not as simple as it sounds. Just like real guitar playing, practice makes perfect. To make the game interesting is that you can choose from different modes of game play. There is a section called Career Mode, here is where the band travels to different cities and you plat concerts in different venues.
As you successful complete a song in Career Mode, it will unlock other songs to play. Another play mode is Quick Play; in this mode of play it allows the player to perform the song in a faster motion. You can choose the song and the difficulty of the song. You can choose your own character, your own venue and even the guitar that will be used in the game. Guitar Hero even has a Multi Player mode where you can compete against your friends.
What makes Guitar Hero so much fun to play is the Characters you can choose, the Customization and the Soundtrack. You have the choice to choose any character you want to have represent you in the game. There are so many choices you can choose from and no matter what character you choose it will not impact the way you play the game. As you complete the songs, the game offers you money to spend like a Rock Star; you can buy new equipment or new clothes for your avatar.
The Soundtracks make the game worth playing. You can choose any song from the play list that includes Lynyrd Skynyrd’s Free Bird or She Bangs from The Stone Roses. All of the songs except for She Bangs are from their original recordings. You will heat and play genuine songs and not remakes from bands you have never heard of. That is what makes Guitar Hero so popular, it is fun to choose the characters, it is challenging to successfully complete songs and advance and you get to hear some really great classic songs to the songs of today.
